Happy House by Siouxsie and the Banshees (1981) and Ginger Ale (2002)

I know: two posts on the same day?

All I can say is read the previous one, it’s more interesting.

This one is just something I need to get out of my system. Not a post for the salvation of mankind, nor refreshing a thirst for knowledge. No, just me being me and wanting to compare stuff again.

I’m putting here two vids: both of the song “Happy House”.

One is the original by Siouxsie and the Banshees (1981) – although I find the live version, found on the album “Nocturne“(1984) (with Robert Smith of The Cure) much much better. If you follow the link you can listen to samples and hear it’s a much better performance that the one in the vid I put here. Oh and don’t start with goth this and goth that – I’m not goth, far from it, but like a great track when I hear one.
And one is by a French band (of which I actuallly find almost nothing about on the internet – believe me, I’ve tried) called Ginger Ale (2002). I’m not an electro-music kind of girl, but this track has stuck with me these last couple of days.

Sorry bout the sound quality!

the cover version (warning: quite an agressive vid!)
